Hospital Credentialing questions, answered.
What is the difference between provider and hospital credentialing?
Provider credentialing enrolls a provider with insurance payers so they can bill. Hospital credentialing, or privileging, authorizes a provider to practice at a specific facility. Most providers need both.
Do you handle ambulatory surgery centers?
Yes. We support ASC enrollment with Medicare and commercial payers as well as provider privileging at the ASC.
How early should reappointment start?
We typically begin reappointment preparation 90 to 120 days before expiration, depending on the facility's committee schedule.
Can you take over files mid-process?
Yes. We review where each application stands and pick up from there.
